Our meat department may not have Abe Froman: The Sausage King of Chicago but we do have Dave: The Meat Merchant of Macey’s.  He, along with his team, can make your butcher block experience a cut above the rest. (Yeah, yeah, I know.  I couldn’t resist the pun!)  They’ll slice your meat and/or cheese blocks to order.  You can also call ahead and place a special order.  Talk about a time saver.

For Thanksgiving the Meat Dept. has got the turkeys you need.  You’ve been savin’ up all those turkey vouchers and now is the time to redeem them.

Also Dave, the manager, would like you to have this delicious recipe (this is great for a hearty sandwich):

1- Butt Portion Ham
1- Large can of Pineapple Juice
6- Whole Cloves
Place the ham face down in the crockpot.  Fill 1/2 way with juice. Toss cloves into the juice.  Cook on Low for 12 hrs.

Let’s not forget about Booby: The Fish Master.  He’s gone fishin’ in warmer waters but I’ll let you know when he comes ashore again.
